Definitely on Florence's
most desirable restaurant list, Alle Murate is intimate
and discreet. Very nice selection of wine. Try the soffiata
di caponata, one of the light vegetable soups.
Desserts are impressive: the crostata di limone is a tangy
lemon cream on a light pastry base with strawberry coulis,
and there's a deeply sinful chocolate mousse cake with whipped
cream.
January and February menus are devoted to fish. Wine buffs
can book to eat in the brick vaulted cellar surrounded by
racks of stupendous wines. |
