Next to Florence's synagogue,
this kosher and vegetarian ('vegetarian' in this instance
embraces fish) restaurant is a pleasant, brightly lit room
with the kitchen in full view.
The cooking has a strong Middle Eastern influence; the generous
Piatto Ruth's 9 Euro consisting of falafel, houmous, brik,
rice and spicy Tunisian salad and various sauces is enough
for lunch on its own.
There's also fish or vegetable couscous, spicy aubergine
and chick-pea stew, crisp-fried kefté and bagels
with smoked salmon. There are always vegetarian pasta choices
and lots of salads. Excellent value. |
